The carbon sole is designed for flexibility in the arch and toe where you need it most. The Carbon sole of the Ergo 3 Carbon shoe follows the previously successful designs of the SIDI models that came before it. Like several other successful SIDI shoes, theyโ€™ve chosen to use full carbon for the sole of the shoe. Offering a smooth finish where it meets the insole. The reason for full carbon is exceptional strength and durability. Most carbon soled shoes on the market use foam or cardboard as the base and just wrap carbon around it. Amateurs! SIDI noticed that when the shoe would get wet the insert would deteriorate. Not good. Unless you live in the arid deserts of Arizona or Southern Nevada, chances are you will face those wet rides frequently. We donโ€™t know about you, but if we pay this kind of money for anything, it had better not wimp out when wet.

The heavy hitting Lezyne Mega Drive is like all Lezyne products, beautiful and functional.  

The Mega Drive utilizes a machined aluminum body which is durable, dissipates heat with its massive heat sinks, and looks fantastic.  The machined aluminum body houses the MOR optics, Constant Current circuitry, and battery. Maximum Optical Reflection (MOR) is the technology that Lezyne uses to ensure the beam and pattern of the light is optimized for maximum effectiveness.  

The Constant Current circuitry controls the brightness, and displays the remaining battery charge.  With 1000 lumens available for 1.5 hours, the Mega Drive is extremely bright.  

The battery is Micro USB rechargeable.  In a move we would like to see more often the rechargeable battery is also interchangeable, meaning you can bring a spare or spares with you if you have a long ride planned.

The Mega Drive Mounts directly to your handlebar with the included composite matrix clamps and shims.

The Lezyne Mega Drive offers 1000 lumens for 1.5 hours, 500 lumens for 3 hours, and 200 lumens for 7 hours.  Flashing mode will give you 5 hours of run time.

The 2012 Time iClic 2 Racer Pedals have dropped 35 grams over the 2011 model and have an updated wear plate. The wear plate on the iclic 2โ€™s are made from stainless steel. This improves the smoothness of the float.

The iClic system is similar to that of a ski binding. It is a Time patented system that is open until you put your cleat into the pedal. It clamps down on the cleat, holding it securely in place until you are ready to unclick. Once you unclick, the mechanism stays open until you are ready to click in, again.

As with all the iClic pedals, the Racer uses a carbon blade instead of a spring adjustment system. The iClic was the first pedal to use a flexible carbon blade instead of the metal spring adjustment system seen on many other pedals. The blade keeps the weight down and is much more durable than the spring adjustment system.

The composite body is mated to a steel axle. The body material and steel axle do add weight over the Titan Carbon model, but the pedal is still very lightweight (5 grams lighter than the Look Keo Blade CroMo pedals).
