Living in Texas, the pool is almost a necessity, if you can afford, but our community is a problem with the soil that prevents many people with in-ground swimming sources.
My wife and I decided a few years ago to buy land pools our two children, and as time has passed, we found that it has advantages and disadvantages.
One of the best cases the pool on the floor, it is very easy to install. We have more of ourselves a little help from our neighbors. It felt great to be able to get it up one day and swimming the next day, and my wife and I thought we were geniuses.
Another great thing for us was, how much cheaper it was to buy a swimming pool on land that was placed in the ground. We literally save thousands of dollars on it, and it was perfectly OK with my wife and I.
Besides the installation in question. Digging a huge hole in the backyard, which is not very big at first, and then pouring the concrete and install the pool and filtration system is quite a headache, even if someone else was doing the work.
I also liked the fact that our dogs can not just run up and jump into the pool. Our swimming pool on the ground was high enough that dogs have to climb a little ladder to get where they actually tried a couple of times before we made it clear to them that the group was not the dogs.
As far as cons, at ground level swimming pool cleaning is not always the most comfortable. We have a consistent problem with leaves and branches of the pool, and it takes time.
The drainage basin is never easy. We almost drown entire back yard when we empty the tank, when the fall rolls around, and is just a mess.
Another thing is that while it is easy to install, when it sets, is another matter altogether. Above ground pool requires some effort when landing.
The biggest problems for above ground pools, the more cause extra work, and there are many benefits. If a person lives in a place that does not result in ground pools, or just do not want to go to the trouble or expense, above ground swimming pool is a good choice.
